David and Dido

Monday, April 30th, 2007

While searching YouTube today for all things David (yeah, I know I’m a geek…) I found this video. I’d heard he was in it, but since I never watch the video TV, I hadn’t ever seen it. I just thought I’d share it since
1. it’s got David in it
and
2. it’s a pretty good song (I like it anyway)

Hope you enjoy it!

Oh, and does anyone know why David for this video? Just curious if he was just cast in it or if he was cast in it for a reason…

emily.jpgGuess who is on the advisory board for The Adrienne Shelly Foundation? Yep, our very own Emily. After his wife’s death, Andrew Ostroy created the nonprofit foundation to “support the artistic achievements of female actors, writers and directors with film school scholarships, production funding, etc.

melanie.jpgGuess who just got married? Okay, so it wasn’t anyone from Bones, but Emily did grace the wedding of Melanie Lynskey. She was one of nine attendants at the ceremony in New Zealand. Congrats to Melanie!

Fox’s reason for the rerun

Friday, April 20th, 2007

bb.jpg I am so proud of the Fox network - and I don’t mean that as a sarcastic statment… According to an article at E!,

The network made the decision to pull a new episode of Bones from its Wednesday lineup, fearing that the plotline, which centers on the discovery of human remains on a college campus, would strike too close to home.

“Out of sensitivity to the victims and families touched by this senseless tragedy, we felt the change was appropriate,” a Fox spokesperson told E! News.

Since the episode that was postponed was about a college student found dead on campus, Fox has yet to determine when it will air. As I said in my previous post, I typically am not a fan of reruns, but when there is a reason such as this, I commend the network for their sensitivity and am more than willing to wait!

As we Bones fans continue to look forward to our Wednesday fix of David and Emily, please keep the victims and families of the Tech shooting in your thoughts and prayers!

Burried alive!

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

I’m not typically big on reruns, but when it comes to an episode I haven’t seen before, I’ll make and exception. (Or, when it’s an episode as good as this one, that’s cool too…) Episode 2.09, or better known as “Aliens in a Spaceship,” aired last night in place of a new episode. Just in case you haven’t seen it, it’s basically about a serial kidnapper/killer who has taken people, burried them alive, demanded ransom and if paid, gives the coordinates to dig them up. For every ransom paid, he was good to his word and the people were rescued. For those not paid, they never found the victims. Bones and Booth are called in when some kids found a container with two dead boys in it - they determine that these are two of the Gravedigger’s victims. In the course of investigating the murder, Bones gets a little too close to the truth and the Gravedigger kidnaps her. Unfortunately for him, Hodgins interrupts the kidnapping and is also taken.

So, now the squints and Booth have to unravel the mystery to find Bones and Hodgins before they run out of air. Unable to raise the ransom money in time, all they have to go on is a cryptic text message Bones and Hodgins were able to send before their phone was fried. Needless to say, they came through just in the nick of time, and upon their rescue, Angela finally admits her attraction to Hodgins (aka - they kiss) and it seems to also be a turning point for Bones and Booth as well.

Oh, and for a good clip, check out my previous post The Confession and Rescue.

Hart on Hiring David

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007
“He was cranky that day,” Hanson let slip in an earlier interview.

“And I made the mistake of immediately making vampire jokes … he was at a certain phase in his life where he didn’t want to hear about the darn vampires.”

Apparently, David wasn’t his usual congenial self when he first met with Hart Hanson for the role of Booth. Check out the full article at Tonight to find out how he overcame his “crankiness” and won the part…

David on vacation

Monday, April 16th, 2007

david-vaca.jpg Thanks to TMZ for posting a great shot of David on a vacation to Hawaii! Doesn’t he look like he’s enjoying fun in the sun… I’m not sure I agree with TMZ’s parallel between him and Val Kilmer, but hey, whatever, they’re both talented and, um, attractive actors. Have to say I’m more of a David fan though – how about you guys?

Solve the murder online

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Check out the official Fox Bones site for the May 9th episode info - the myspace pages and blogs for the “play along” episode are up! There are eight characters to look into: Salmon Dan, Chef Carly, Ben, Heather, Abby, Chef Hot & Cut, Fisher, and Sushiguy23. I’ve checked out a few of them myself and they look really well done.

Don’t miss out on the fun!

David’s new blog

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

david-hockey.jpg David’s latest role? Blogger for the National Hockey League of course! As a big Sabres fan, and obviously well-versed in the sport of hockey, who better to keep the fans updated? So if hockey is your thing, or if you just want to check out what David has to say, be sure to check out his blog. Frankly, I’m not into the sport, and so far he seems very dedicated to keep to his topic, so I don’t think this is a blog I’ll frequent. Sorry David, love ya and all, but you know how it is…

Bones 2.19 episode

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Don’t miss tonight’s all new episode - once again Bones charms us with her catchphrase “I don’t know what that means…” (she cracks me up, and makes me feel a little better - and I just thought I could be socially backwards!)

David the cool dad

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007

david-playground.gifDoesn’t David look like a fun dad? Why Star Magazine thinks it’s unusual for a parent to actually play with their child is beyond me, but hey, it’s Star magazine. What a great shot of David and his son Jaden – and what a cool dad!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
