A look at Angela and Bones friendship with Michaela Conlin

Here’s a brief video interview with Michaela Conlin about her character, Angela, and the relationship she shares with Bones. In a show that consistently on relationships, I thought this was a good look at one of them. Also, so much importance is put on the Booth/Bones relationship, and until previously on the Angela/Hodgins relationships, that this one kind of gets the short end of the stick. (At least I think so.) Not that the writers don’t do it justice - I think the relationship is very well written, but I just think we don’t pay as much attention to it as to some of the other relational dynamics on the show.

I like how Michaela has pointed out how Bones and Angela have a genuine friendship, even if it does seem one-sided at times since Bones is so logical. (Remember the “help” she gave when Angela came to her about not knowing how to act around Hodgins - yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!)

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones� Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints� at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
