And TV returns!

I just wanted to share this quick photo with you from TV Guide - they devoted the cover this week to a photo shoot of some of the “biggest names in TV” of the shows that are finally returning thanks to the end of the writer’s strike. Smallville’s Allison Mack put it well. “This is kind of historic, isn’t it?”

David Boreanaz was one of the stars to grace the cover (actually he was on the inside of the cover - the cover itself actually folded back inside the magazine so it was a pull-out cover - but that’s quibbling over the small details…). It was nice to see his beautiful face along with some of the other big names of TV, and rightly so considering the great job they’re doing on the show Bones! While he was there, he was apparently looking to check out the waters with Dave Annable from Brothers & Sisters. The last time they were together was at the charity hockey game. David said, “he played goalie and I scored on him. He might be a little bitter.” But somehow I doubt Annable held a grudge - and if there were any hard feelings they didn’t come out during this celebration! It looked like everyone was having a great time and there was no room for any animosity.

Becki Newton from Ugly Betty spilled champagne all over her dress. “I look like I peed!” she said about what TV Guide called her “wardrobe malfunction.” James Denton from Desperate Housewives posted a wardrobe suggestion that Hugh Laurie from House wear “Speedos and a mesh tank top.”

The stars shared stories of “How I spent My Unintentionally Long Winter Vacation,” and while Eva Longoria said that she enjoyed the break but was eager to get back to work, Hugh Laurie had another opinion. “I’ve rather developed a taste for this not working thing,” he said. “You think, ‘Next week I’m going to learn Portuguese,’ and then before you know it, the strike is over.” Something tells me that although he claims he was going to be “very bad tempered at 10:30″ the next day when he started shooting his first episode back, he was on set with a song in his heart to be back as well!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
