Angel returns to fight another day

by

For those of us who are David Boreanaz fans from back in his Buffy and Angel days, we now have another outlet to enjoy his previous role of Angel! Out this October, IDW Publishing has put out a new Angel series. It’s an official continuation of the Angel storyline from where it left off at the end of Season 5 when it went off the air. As much as David may want to distance himself from his Buffy and Angel days, for his fans, we will always mourn the end of both shows. I’m glad to see him back in another series, but I’m also psyched that there’s finally going to be another chapter to the Angel storyline.

In case you forgot, the last we saw of our favorite hero, he was in a darkened alley with fellow vampire-with-a-soul Spike (James Marsters), Illyeria (Amy Acker), and Charles Gunn (August Richards). They were about to enter into a battle to the death with the odds stacked most definitely against them as we saw the shadow of what looked like hundreds of various beasts and demons running at them. It didn’t look good for our team, but if anyone could come out on top, it was them. Well, at least the three demons of the bunch, poor Gunn was already wounded and didn’t look like he had much fight left in him…

The storyline is called “Angel: After the Fall, and is presented by Joss Whedon himself, along with a creative team he picked himself. The series will give us all what we’ve wanted for so long – the answers to “what happened then? It will cover who lived, who died, and what happened to good old LA after the battle was over. (Who cares about LA, I want to know what Angel and the rest of his crew are up to now…)

Brian Lynch said, “Angel and his friends took a stand because he thought it was the right thing to do. They fought the good fight even though they were probably going to lose, even thought they were facing insurmountable odds. But that’s the thing about insurmountable odds…surmounting them can be quite a bitch. The series begins to tackle the fall-out of Angel’s stand, and what it cost everyone near, around, and close to him.

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
