Romance is in the air for the Bones crew!

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

I don’t think it’s any secret by now the biggest news of the Bones panel at Comic Con. Booth and Bones will get naked this season - together, that is! Unfortunately for us, though, Hart Hanson was a very cautious about how he worded his statement, which implies that it’s not as cut and dry as it may seem. There are so many ways that the writers could get Booth and Bones together where they just happen to be naked, or where circumstances deem it necessary, that “naked” doesn’t mean but so much. Without some hanky panky, well, naked is just naked. After all, Bones has already seen Booth naked, and we all remember how she reacted - very professionally and even complimentary of him for not being puritanical about it. (That was such a great scene!!!) However, I can’t wait to see how they play it out - and how “professional” Booth is able to be about it. Seems like even Bones had a tiny bit of trouble keeping a straight face at the sight of Booth naked, so who knows? Maybe even she’ll fall apart (at least a little bit) at the combined nakedness. We can only hope!

In other romantic news, we also have the promise of a few other romances to look forward to this season. Bones will be dating at least two other men, and we already know that Angela’s husband and a previous girlfriend will resurface to cause trouble for her and Hodgins. Who else? Sweets may be headed for a romance of his own - which I think is just great. Not that he could EVER come close to replacing Zack, but his character has grown on me and I think that seeing him grow as part of the team on the show may just help to heal some of the wounds left by Zack’s defection from the world of the sane and not-murders. Also to look forward to is a possible relationship for Cam - with one of Angela’s old flames, no less! How odd would it be for Cam to hook up with Roxy? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…

And just who is Roxy?

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Season 4 is shaping up to be a fantastic season. The promise of meeting Angela’s husband, seeing Hodgins in a fight with him, the continued Booth/Bones romance, and seeing how the team deals with not only Zack’s break from reality and being locked up but the presence of a continual stream of new interns - well, it certainly shouldn’t be dull!

But, there’s one more twist that we have to look forward to this season. At Comic Con, it was revealed that another one of Angela’s relationships will come back to haunt her and put yet another obstacle between her and Hodgins. So what’s so fantastic about that you ask? The past relationship just happens to be an ex-girlfriend named Roxy.

Here’s a quick clip shot from someone in the audience - not great quality by any means, but here it is as those attending got to see it…

If you remember, we were “introduced” to Roxy by the PI Angela and Hodgins hired last season to track down Angela’s husband. While gathering info on the couple, she dug up info on Angela from “a girl named Roxy, whose heart you broke in second-year art school.” I don’t know about you, but even though I heard this in the episode, since the focus was on finding Angela’s husband, I didn’t give it too much thought, so it should be interesting to see this little tid-bit of info come back to bite Angela in the butt. I wonder if it was the PI’s quest for info about Angela that stirred up all those long-hidden feelings that has caused Roxy to resurface after all this time…

As of right now, casting hasn’t been made known; same about the “when” of her appearance. Guess we’ll just have to wait and watch to see!

Episode 4.03 - The He in the She

Monday, August 11th, 2008

As you may have guessed already, since the first episode of the season is a 2-parter, we kind of skipped the 4.02 spoiler and are going straight to 4.03, so no, I didn’t skip it. Okay, so here we go!

This episode we start meeting some of the grad students that are the potentials to replace Zack. This week, we meet Vincent Juarez, who has yet to be cast as best as I can tell. He may be one of Bone’s best students, but he definitely doesn’t seem to mesh well with the group, and may think more highly of his own sense of humor than everyone else does. Looks like he’ll be grating on Bone’s nerves a little, which could be fun to watch! Also, his “lame jokes” and use of familiar (I’m guessing that means non-technical) terms annoy Cam. And boy is she a lot of fun when she’s grumpy! (Also, according to a post by TV Guide’s past writer Ausiello, we may be seeing a lot of this particular grad student in the future.)

This episode revolves around a skeletonized wrist that is found by a couple of hippies. While investigating, the squints come to believe that the skeleton belongs to a 40-year old woman, Patricia Ludmuller. The really fun part comes in when, upon further investigation, they discover that Patricia started out as a “Patrick” - yup, she is actually, or at least started out as, a he.

And of course, what would we do without more therapy sessions with Sweets? He kind of grew on us, now I look forward to his general awkwardness!

(Patrick is not the actual name.)

Season 4 premiere!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

The first episode of Bones when it returns will be a 2 part episode titled The Yanks in the UK. If they don’t change anything on us, it should air September 3rd. Obviously by now we all get that they’re filming in London. We also know that Angela’s long lost husband has been cast, so it’s finally time to meet him! It appears that we won’t have to wait long, since he should be making his appearance during the season premiere.

Grayson “Birimbau” Barasa, played by Sean Blakemore, will show up, refusing to sign divorce papers because he is still in love with Angela. Can we blame him? Of course this causes all kinds of fun and trauma for the couple, and ends up leading to a brawl involving not only Birimbau and Hodgins, but Sweets as well. (How’d HE get involved?!?)

In London, we’ll get to see several different locations, including the Thames River, Oxford University, the historic Tower Bridge, the stately Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and well as throughout the streets of the city, which tells us that at least Booth and Bones are getting a chance to see the town. (And lets us know that they’re not in a studio on the west coast pretending to be in London…) Not only are they there to help solve a murder, but Bones is guest speaking at Oxford and Booth gets his own moment in the spotlight as he speaks to Scotland Yard. I can’t wait to see Booth as a guest speaker. Wonder if he’ll be wearing his famous socks and belt buckle…

About the upcoming premiere, Hart Hanson said, ““It has a slight Upstairs, Downstairs aspect to it, with servants and royalty and the class system. An heiress with an American father is yanked from the Thames in her Range Rover.

“Brennan and Booth are here lecturing. Booth is lecturing at Scotland Yard and Brennan is lecturing at Oxford about working with cops. The murder happens… the FBI would have jurisdiction over it if Scotland Yard invited them.”

Hodgins said what?

Monday, May 5th, 2008

I can’t even begin to imagine how these people get their hands on the info they do - I crawl the web as often as my 15-month-old will let me for new scoops, but apparently I’m not looking in the right places (or I don’t have the right connections.)

The Bones Spoilers on LiveJournal have a slew of spoilers posted (hence the name), but on that they’ve got is just too good not to share. So, here goes:

spoiler-alert.jpg

Looks like some of the lines from the upcoming The Finger in the Nest has been leaked, and these guys were kind enough to share. One of the lines for TJ Thyne’s character Hodgins is: “First, my best friend who used to work here, with me, he got into some big trouble and… he’s locked up now and I miss him…”

emillegan.jpg

Okay, we can assume he’s talking about Zach since we already know that Bones is getting a new grad student. But what’s he locked up for? Some of the speculation on the boards is that he’s Gormagon, but I don’t buy it. I’m going to guess it has something to do with the time he spent in Iraq - we never did get the full story on why he came home like he did. I don’t think he was a deserter or anything, and I don’t expect it to be anything huge, but who knows, I could be seriously surprised. And with awesome writers like the show has, I’m sure the way it pans out will be great.

Also, later he also says: And Angela - you know Angela, she and I used to - we were engaged to be married, and well, that went south, too.

I don’t know what to think about this one. If you believe Ausiello, we’ve been promised more kissing - but not necessarily from Bones/Booth, so I assumed it was the Angela/Hodgins deal. Maybe not? But really, can you see the writers breaking up our only satisfying relationship on the show? Oh well, guess we’ll have to wait and see! What agony!

More awesome Bones scoop!

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

spoiler-alert.jpg

I cannot say this enough - there are some serious spoilers to come, so be warned! Michael Ausiello gave us not one, not two, but three scoops on Bones and what we have to look forward to. Considering Bones isn’t one of the shows that graces his column in TVGuide each week, this is the motherload! Anyway, here’s what he had to say… Oh, and don’t take the Sarah Michelle Gellar thing (or the season 6 and 7 predictions for that matter, although who really knows?) to heart. Although seeing her as a guest star might not be that bad!

kiss.jpg

Question: Are Booth and Brennan going to do any more kissing this season on Bones? — S.W.
Ausiello:
Probably not this season. But next season? You betcha. Exec producer Hart Hansen confirms that the two Bs will “definitely” lock lips for real sometime in Season 4. “I figure, we’re going into [our fourth season],” he says, “and we’ve had the fake kiss. So we need to go to the next step.” At this rate, I’m guessing the rest of their relationship will unfold thusly:

Season 5: Sex
Season 6: Marriage
Season 7: Baby Bones
Season 8: Sarah Michelle Gellar turns up as Booth’s never-before-seen demon-hunting ex.

Question: You can’t just leave me hanging as to why Bones is looking for a new full-time forensic anthropologist. Who’s leaving? — Katie
Ausiello:
Actually, I just double-checked the Ask Ausiello rulebook, and I can leave you hanging. Not only that, but I can even heighten your anxiety if I want. Which reminds me: Did I tell you about the two deaths coming up? One of them occurs in the May 12 episode, the other in the May 19 season finale.

Question: Do you have any Bones scoop? — Gerri
Ausiello:
I’m trying to think of something that’s bigger than the kiss and the two deaths I just told you about. Oh, here’s something: There’s a very good chance that the fourth-season premiere will air on Aug. 26 and be two hours long. And that’s not the best part. No, the best part is waiting for you in this week’s Ausiello Report vodcast!

Oh, and since the vodcast isn’t posted here, let’s just say that the “best part” he refers to is that Bones will be shooting in England. We knew they were looking overseas, so they’ve made their decision - it should be fun seeing Bones in jolly old England! Think she has connections to the Queen? I wouldn’t doubt it!

Ausiello’s Bones spoiler for this week

Friday, April 25th, 2008

spoiler-alert.jpg

Any week that Michael Ausiello talks about Bones is a good week. This time he’s got a scoop for us on Bones’ potential for “gentlemen suitors” as he calls it. Sounds a little shady to me, but that makes it just that much more juicy…
(BTW: Please Don’t Read if you don’t like spoilers - this “news” may not be the end-all-be-all for the show, but still. As if you couldn’t see the above warning!)

ed-casual.jpg

Question: Any and all Bones scoop, please? — Catherine
Ausiello:
Brennan will be juggling two gentlemen suitors in an upcoming episode — one who may or may not be married and one who may or may not be gay.

Can’t even begin to guess who the may or may not be gay character would be. Not really sure I’ve got an idea on the may or may not be married suitor either. This should be an interesting love…square? If you count Booth, Emily plus maybe married and maybe gay make four. Not exactly a love triangle, but hey, whatever works! Can’t wait to find out!

Episode 3.11 - Player Under Pressure

Monday, April 21st, 2008

spoiler-alert.jpg

Fox provided a few clips of tonight’s episode for those of us who can’t wait to see the actual episode. Looks like Booth and Bones will be butting heads once again. Tonight we get to see Player Under Pressure - the episode that was pulled last year due to the shootings at VA Tech. The episode is about a campus murderer whose victim is crushed by bleachers. Since the victim is a star basket-ball player for the school, Booth and Bones end up looking into the world of sports on a college campus and all the “racy lifestyles” the athletes live. And, as you can guess, Bones has her own very strong opinion about the forensic application of sports and the people who play and follow them…

In this clip, Bones expresses her frustration that her guest lecture wasn’t well received at the college.

In this one, Bones offends Booth by putting down athletes and adults who watch sports.

Ausiello’s season 3 spoilers

Friday, April 18th, 2008

I can’t help but be just a tiny bit jealous of Michael Ausiello and his access to the stars… But hey, someone’s got to have the job, and since I live on the wrong coast, it’s not gonna be me, and he does a good job, so kudos to him. Anyway, he’s got some scoop on Bones in this week’s Ask Ausiello that addresses the Gormogon killer and some of the other “news” we’ve been hearing about the upcoming Bones episodes. Be forewarned, there is serious spoilage ahead!

spoiler-alert.jpg

Question: Any scoop on why Bones would need a new forensic anthropologist? Is something going to happen to Zack? — Elizabeth

Ausiello: Sure sounds like it based on Fox’s official episode description for the May 19 season finale: “When a human jawbone shows up at the Jeffersonian, Brennan and the team quickly realize that the Gormogon serial killer has struck again. In a shocking turn of events, an explosion in the lab sends Zack to the hospital; Gormogon’s silver skeleton goes missing from the basement vault; and every Jeffersonian employee becomes a suspect, with the very real possibility that one of their very own may be working with the twisted and elusive serial killer.”

untitled-1.jpg

Here’s a quick clip to preview tonight’s ALL NEW episode of Bones. I don’t need to tell you it’s going to be great, but if you have any doubts whatsoever, just check out the preview below. But, if you don’t want anything spoiled for our return to new eps, please just stop here. I mean it!

Otherwise, watch away! You’re going to love it…

What did I tell you? The cast is back in their usually great rare form and it’s going to be a great final few episodes of this season. (Curse that writers strike that kept us from new episodes this long! Oh well, sucks for us I guess.)

I’m curious to see if the horse is really his and was that a moment of male bonding with the “cheese” thing? That and the “brook trout” line - they’ve got to have so much fun making this show… Oh the drama - the suspense! Can we wait another - how many is it? - hours?

Tonight’s episode previews

Monday, April 14th, 2008

spoiler-alert.jpg

If you like to just watch the episodes as they come, DO NOT read or view any further! Here are some GREAT clips - NOTE!! I said CLIPS, not previews!!! - from tonights episode - just enough to whet your appetite even more before we start back with tonight’s ALL NEW episode of Bones! (Like any of us needed the additional suspense! At least our wait is over! Hallelujah!)

A special note of thanks to supernatural66 for posting these!

I LOVE the cheese joke (from the previously posted preview) - it goes so well with the “serious as a gas attack” line. The writers of the show are just too awesome. So enjoy the clips - or don’t and wait until tonight. But either way, don’t forget that tonight we start back with all new Bones. There’s only a few episodes left before we’re back to waiting until next season, so enjoy them while they last!

Ausiello shares a Bones spoiler!

Friday, January 18th, 2008

TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello had a great scoop for us on his vodcast about one of the upcoming Bones episodes! Okay, so not so much, but he does have a little bit of news for us. (That and co-host Papa Smurf…) As we all know by now, we’ll be getting the treat of seeing not only the remaining three new Bones episodes when they come back, but we’ll also finally be able to see the one that was pulled due to the VT shootings. However, according to Ausiello, we won’t be getting the whole episode.

Considering that the episode was pulled and is now being shown out of sequence, I guess it only makes sense that they have decided to cut scenes with Angela and Hodgins that show them together but not as “together” as they are now. Although not technically married, they have walked down the aisle together, so the scenes that were cut wouldn’t make much sense now.

angela-hodgins.jpg Personally, I think that the Bones fans would understand and would accept the episode as is without the edits and just be happy to finally see it, but I guess for someone just coming into the show it makes more sense… What do you think? Show it all or cut it for continuity?

Hopefully, we’ll get the complete episode when they get around to releasing it on DVD - what will that be, probably next year sometime? So until then we’ll just have to hold our breath and be happy with the little bit of scraps they throw us. (Aren’t you glad I didn’t say bones?)

Skip a week then back on track

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Well, thanks to the country’s weird obsession with sports, Bones took a break this week so we could all watch baseball. Yay for us. No, not really. I don’t enjoy going to sporting events, so I really can’t imagine sitting on my couch to watch one. (My apologies to my sports-fanatic readers.)

Anyway, next week we should be back on schedule with a brand new episode of Bones. According to the Fox network website, it should be another great show! Apparently we’re finally going to get Booth and Bones into the couple’s therapy sessions we’ve been promised for this season. With the threat of being separated hanging over their heads, it will be interesting to see what lengths they go to to keep their partnership together. There’s a great video clip of them in the waiting room discussing what they’re going to talk about in therapy. Booth suggests Bones talk about her dad. When she balks at the suggestion, Booth hesitantly admits a dream he had that they might talk about, but when Bones gives him a hard time about it, he takes it back. Realizing she’s upset him, Bones agrees that maybe she could talk about her dad. You’ve really got to check this out!

Also, for those green-advocates out there, this next week’s episode is for you. It’s about the murder, maybe double homicide, of an organic farmer. Check it out…

Booth and Brennan go in to investigate when teenagers find a severely decomposed body on the grounds of the V.A. hospital. The man is identified as Franklin Curtis, founder of an organic supermarket chain. The team is puzzled when the body’s high temperature reveals that it had been cooked or incinerated. As they attempt to pin down an initial cause of death at the lab, Brennan and Booth question potential suspects around Curtis’ farm. They suspect foul play by a rival farmer from whom Curtis was trying to buy land to turn it organic. In their investigation, Booth and Brennan also discover that Curtis was a well known philanderer. When the flesh of another body is identified with Curtis’, the team must investigate a possible double homicide. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan are assigned to a new – and very young – psychiatrist, Dr. Lance Sweets. He warns them that the FBI may separate the two unless they undergo further psychiatric counseling, and they reluctantly cooperate in the “The Secret in the Soil? episode of BONES airing Tuesday, Oct. 23

Bones Halloween special!

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

The Halloween episode of Bones is destined to be a great one. If no other reason than the name just screams Halloween to begin with! Besides, what else makes you think of the scary holiday than bones of any type?

This season, we’ve been promised Wonder Woman, and it looks like we’ll get her for sure! I can’t imagine what is going to get Bones into a costume, but as shown by the pictures below, she’s going to end up saving the day again! And check out the rest of the Bones crew! Can you believe it? It’s just plain awesome. I can’t wait to see this one. Forget the typical plot (which I know if going to be great anyway,) I just want to see everyone in their Halloween getups!

Get a load of the udders on Zach and the glasses on Booth - even they can’t make him unattractive! Oh, and what do you think about Cat-Woman? You did see her peaking out from behind the Vegas showgirl, right? Ha ha ha!!! I can’t wait!

Season 3 preview!

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

Take a second and enjoy this quick look at the new season of Bones. Starting this Tuesday (yay!), Season 3 promises to be even better than the first two!

If we didn’t know Zach was coming back, this short preview would have me worried… Although it would be interesting to meet the new candidate and just see how badly they did trying to fill Zach’s shoes, because you know there’s just no possible way anyone could be as great as he is in the sqint team! And another cannibal? Should make an interesting case, although it’s pretty gross to have a victim who had their face chewed off!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones? Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints? at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
