I’m afraid to say that;

on his left wrist,”mei-un” means destiny but usually use on a bad situation. The symbol on this article “un-mei”(switch the symbol before and behind) means fate or destiny which has both good and bad meaning.

on his right wrist, “rei” mainly means ghost or dead person’s soul (we japanese naturally respect every dead people as a spiritual holy soul) . The symbol on this article”tamashii” means soul or some kind of mentality.

I’m really sorry that he might not check it to japanese person about each meaning.

lol he does think too much but that’s just Zach, that’s what he does. On occasion I got mad because he thinks TOO much, but you can’t really change him. But he is my favorite character out of all the people.

It was indeed fake, designed for Angel by the show’s make-up artist Todd McIntosh. And it was a gryphon, not a bird.

Cliche television- tease the audience until they get so frustrated and bored with the concept they go elsewhere for their entertainment. Why can’t the television writers break the mold and come up with plots that include relationships that actually work and still have magnetism? Let’s hope this isn’t just another continuation of “the tease.”
