David Boreanaz gets into the role of the Green Lantern

by

We all know about David and his love for unusual socks. This seems to be his trademark, and just one of the fun things we love about him! Well, he didn’t disappoint us as he took on his first day of recording the voice of the Green Lantern for the new Justice League movie. Not only was David in a green shirt to help him get into character, but green socks as well. “I like to get into my characters – literally,? he said.

The movie is due out to release this coming Wednesday on February 26th from Warner Home Video. When talking about his role, David really seems to have a good handle on the heart of the character. In an article from IESB.net he said, “Hal’s an interesting character – having been part of the Korean War, he’s kind of damaged goods, but yet he’s striving to get back to being himself,? Boreanaz said. “I think Hal’s sense of a duality is fascinating – his holding onto his past, overcoming it, and being heroic with it. It’s about coming to an understanding of where your strengths are and where your weaknesses may be – and as an actor, to go into his dark place and work from there. I found that very appealing.?

Although he’s been in the business for years, David is relatively new to doing voiceovers. The only previous experience he has is a voice he did for the video game Kingdom Hearts, but he said that with the help of the voice director the job was made easy. He said that she “was unbelievably fantastic in the way she guided me through Hal’s course of emotions, and really helped me get to know the character,? Boreanaz said. “Once I got my feet underneath him and really got into character, everything fell into place and we just flew through the script. It was a great journey.?

So, whether you’re a David Boreanaz fan, a comic fan, or both, be looking for the new release coming soon: Justice League: The New Frontier!

Also, just in case you’re interested in the movie for reasons other than just David, he will be joined by the voice talents of Brook Shields, Lucy Lawless, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kyra Sedgwick just to drop a few names!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones? Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints? at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
