Emily Deschanel gets noticed for her jewelry

by Brianne Clemmer

It’s funny how in the midst of a show the little things get noticed. Some are harder to miss than others - like David Boreanaz’s character Booth wearing a huge belt buckle that says “Cocky” on it - or the crazy socks he’s known for. But one of the other details we see noticed pretty often is the jewelry that Emily Deschanel wears as her character Dr. Temperance Brennan. Noticed because it’s unusual and very attractive - and very fitting for her character I might add - just recently her jewelry caught the media’s attention again. This time, due to it’s eco-friendly status.

Since Emily constantly makes the list of celebrities known for being very eco-aware and eco-friendly herself, it shouldn’t be any surprise that her wardrobe would also reflect that. The piece in question is a necklace from jewelry designer Laura Elizabeth, which features an a beautiful glue “agate stone with recycled gold edging and a small elm leaf preserved in recycled gold.” The piece can be yours for the small price of $130.00 (!) online at Laura Elizabeth’s site.

I love that eco-friendly jewelry is becoming more mainstream! I have always enjoyed unique jewelry for myself and to give as gifts. My favorite spot is All Wired Up jewelry. Everything is hand crafted and they are a green business. You can check them out online at http://www.allwiredupjewelry.com. I hope to see more and more eco-friendly jewelry and clothing on TV in the near future!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
