Emily Deschanel to support crew
A few posts ago I mentioned that a lot of the actors are showing their support for the writers during the strike. (i.e., David shown on the picket line.) On the same note, they are now rallying behind the crew as well. Since the crew doesn’t tend to bring in the same kind of salaries as some of the other, more well-paid people in the business, they are really being hurt by the lack of work.
A couple of weeks ago, the SNL people did a live benefit show for their crew. Now, this coming Wednesday and Friday, there will be another comedic variety performance to benefit others in the same boat. According to Kristin’s blog over at E!Online, it will be called The Strike Show and will be at the LA Steve Allen Theater. You can get tickets online at steveallentheater.com or by calling (800) 595-4849.
