Ouch! David Boreanaz takes his knocks

by

Did anyone watch the Emmys? I didn’t - don’t usually watch that sort of thing. No reason really, just never have. But this year I’m regretting it for the simple fact that David Boreanaz was a presenter. But I guess in all reality that means he was only on the show for a fraction of the time it was on, and apparently it can run a little long. So maybe I didn’t miss too much.

Anyway, the point is that it appears (to me who didn’t watch) that he maybe didn’t do the best job as a presenter… at least if you believe what you read anyway! According to Ken Tucker over at EW.com, David was a little, shall we say stiff? He wrote “Usually the most affable of actors, Boreanaz, … could barely bring himself to look at Conrad.” (That would be his co-host or co-presenter - whatever they’re called - Lauren Conrad from The Hills.)

So, was it really as bad as all that? Or is this just one of those reviews I should take with a grain of salt? Help me out here guys - we all know David is awesome in front of the camera, so what gives?

I noticed right away that David was not his usual jovial self. I contributed his behavior to his disappointment at having to share the stage with Lauren Conrad and also that Heidi Klum screwed up the name of his show. The whole thing seemed kind of disrespectful to David. I also saw some pictures taken of him and Lauren backstage and he still didn’t look too happy.

Forgive my naivety, but what’s the deal with Lauren Conrad? I’ve heard (or read) several places that he *probably* wasn’t thrilled to be on stage with her. I don’t get it.

it’s not like he’s known for “live in front of the world’s largest studio audience” His forte is shows that never shoot live and have no audience, in other words, no where on his gorgeous resume does it say “public speaker”. Most likely just got the nerves.

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
