This week’s Bones caters to reality tv junkies

by

I’ve never been able to get into reality shows, but considering how big their audiences are, I guess they must be doing something right! (The only one I could get into was Beauty and the Geek, and that one only kept my attention for two seasons, oh, and if you count So You Think You Can Dance - I had no idea that show was even on until this last season!)

Anyway, this week’s Bones, The Man in the Outhouse, covers the murder of a reality show host. The show, Busted by Bill, is about catching cheating spouses in the act. Because of the “sensitive” nature of the show, you can imagine the humiliation and anger the show causes to everyone and anyone who was caught on tape, which means narrowing down the list of suspects is a rather large job!

This week we’ll also meet a new grad student trying out for the position left by Zack, guest star Carla Gallo as Daisy Wick. She is described as “overachieving,” so it should be humorous to say the least. She should be around for at least two episodes. Looks like Hodgins might be less than thrilled to work with her (see the clip below - “Stop making those faces, it’s just sewage”), or maybe he’s just grumpier than normal because of the whole breakup with Angela thing…

Add to all this fun the fact that Booth is trying to understand Bone’s dating life when he finds out she’s seeing two different guys at the same time, and we should get some very interesting discussions on relationships! But hey, the promo clip shows it better than I can say myself - check it out!

You know what’s REALLY bad is that when I searched “The Man in the Outhouse” for images, I actually linked up directly to a news site with an article about an actual man who was caught IN an woman’s outhouse - like as in the tank. Eewww…. and disturbing!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
