Watching “The Man in the Cell”

by

I finally got caught up and got to watch The Man in the Cell. Wow – good episode. I really thought we were going to lose Cam there for a minute. How many of you were disappointed that we didn’t? Hmmm? Okay, tell the truth – especially after she kissed Booth… That was a surprise to me. I really thought that she wasn’t pursuing him considering everyone in the office can see that him and Bones have a thing going, even if they can’t. Wonder where they’re taking this?

I was also really worried there for a minute that we really had lost Zack – but hey, call me naive, I’m not one to pre-guess a plot. I like to watch it as it plays out. (My dad on the other hand is famous for the “you want me to tell you what happens next?) Glad they decided to keep him around!

I really loved how Bones offered consolation to Booth when Cam was poisoned. In her admitting that she didn’t know what to say but wanted to say the right thing, she did just that. Booth’s acknowledging that and thanking her made for a very touching moment.

At the very end, when Booth is talking to Bones about workplace relationships and how they can’t happen because people end up getting hurt, the look on Bones’ face was a little hard to decipher. She looked like she was registering that he meant them, but then again, she can be a little obtuse about social issues, so who knows. What do you guys think?

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
