What good will come of Jared Booth?
Well, I guess it’s official. We’ve known for a while now that Booth’s little brother was going to make an appearance. Then we found out that said brother was going to “connect” with Bones. Then, we found out that said connection was going to be played by Brendan Fehr, Roswell alum. So, what else is there?
According to TV Guide, after meeting with the younger Booth, “life on (and off) the Jeffersonian may never be the same.” Uh huh. So what does that mean for our long-awaited, much desired Bones/Booth pair-up? Well, looks like her little tryst with the younger Booth brother may just help them along in the long run. HUH? Yeah, my reaction too.

Last season the writers had planned to give us more info on Booth’s background but that plan was dropped due to the shortened season. So, this season we’ll pick back up with that storyline and Booth’s younger brother is going to provide us with some of the back-story and insight into Booth that we’ve been sorely lacking.
Hart Hanson shares with us that although “there’s a spark between Brennan and little brother Booth… since she in her own mind can’t have the older Booth, maybe this younger one is a good ersatz copy. But that turns out not to be true.” Okay, I’m good with that. But, where does that leave the original Booth brother and Bones?
One of the main purposes of bringing Jared Booth to the show is to provide a look into Booth’s character and into what makes him who he is. This will ultimately give Bones a better understanding of her partner and will actually be “paving the way for a deeper bond.”
While I wasn’t thrilled at first with the thought of a Bones/little brother Booth relationship, if this is all the good that’s going to come out of it, maybe I can jump on board after all. What do you think?
