Wouldn’t you just LOVE to see David Boreanaz on the big screen?

by

Well, if Warner Brother’s gets their act together and uses some of those brains they have on staff, we may just get a chance! It’s no secret that super-hero/comic book movies are making a come-back in a big way (Hurray!), and now they’re rethinking a Green Lantern film. The movie is set to be directed b Greg Berlanti, who has credits like Dawson’s Creek, Everwood, Eli Stone, Brothers & Sisters, and Dirty Sexy Money under his belt.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the storyline, the plot is basically about Harold “Hal” Jordan, an ordinary man who is a second-generation test pilot. He is sought out by an alien, Abin Sur, who’s spaceship has crashed on earth. Abin Sur, who is dying, uses his ring to seek out the man suited to take his place. The ring is capable of finding someone who is “utterly honest and born without fear,” or as later described, “could overcome great fear.”

This movie has so much potential - and paves the way for sequels, sequels, sequels. And even possibly a prequel… See, Hal Jordan wasn’t the first Green Lantern. He was the second man chosen to wield the “power ring,” which gives the bearer “great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it.” Also, there have been several Green Lanterns since him. Jordan is just the most well-known and loved version of the Green Lantern, and he was also a founding member of the Justice League of America.

Anyway, there’s no news yet on when they plan to decide, or if this movie will even gain enough momentum, support and enthusiasm to get off the ground. But wouldn’t it be awesome to see David on the big screen? This movie could really get him noticed - not that his isn’t already! Good luck to you David! We’re cheering for you!

About Watching Bones

Who doesn’t love forensic anthropology? Okay, so maybe not, but throw in David Boreanaz and an FBI agent and former sniper along with Emily Deschanel as anthropologist-by-day and best selling author-by-night, as well as other awesome cast members TJ Thyne, Micheala Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Eric Millegan, and you’ve got a mix for an awesome show. That’s just what you get with Bones. A crime drama that has great wit, great writing, and obviously a great cast; Deschanel’s character Temperance “Bones? Brennan is socially illiterate, although brilliant, and balances out Boreanaz’s character Agent Seeley Booth as they work together to solve sometimes years-old murders. Backed by the “squints? at the Jeffersonian Museum, this team is unstoppable, but it’s the people and the relationships that really make the show. Don’t miss a minute of it!
